There are number of very important matters related to the Long Term Care sector that will be taking place over the next couple of months.
We have received confirmation that the Time to Care Act will be coming up for a vote at second reading on October 28th. This is likely our best chance yet to get this legislation passed and we will be undertaking a concerted lobby effort to try and ensure that we can win this vote.
The LTC COVID-19 Commission is also going to start hearing submissions this month and we will need to hear from members about their front-line experiences during the pandemic so that we can ensure their voices are heard by the Commissioners.
There are a number of very important events coming up in the next few weeks. It’s incredibly important that as many people as possible participate in these events. Please forward to your locals and encourage them to participate. As noted below most of these events are open and not limited to LTC locals.
